Jun Li is Managing Partner of SV Tech Ventures, a Silicon Valley based venture capital firm focusing on technology startup investments. Jun is also Founding Partner of iCamp, a Shanghai and Silicon Valley based early stage startup accelerator. Having invested in more than 20 successful companies (e.g. musical.ly, Orbeus, Kika Mobile, Agora), was partner of CRCM Opportunity Fund II, focusing on investments in cross- border startups. Jun was Senior Manager and Co-Founder of several successful start-up companies in Silicon Valley and Japan, including ETOP Design Technology (acquired by Cadence Design Systems in 2004), Altius Solutions, which merged with Simplex Solutions and went public in 2001 (Nasdaq:SPLX) , Excellent Design (acquired by Cadence Design System in 1997). Jun Li holds a B.S. degree in Microelectronics from Peking University in 1990.
Peng was most recently Founder and Managing Director of Brilliance Capital, a venture capital company focusing on investment in early stage technology companies, ranging from networking, wireless, semiconductor, and biotech.Peng was senior manager at Intel from 1990 to 2001. He was involved in research and development of deep sub-micron device and processing, Silicon-on-Insulator, spacer gate, and Micro-Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS). He is the holder of more than 30 US patents. Peng received his Ph.D. in Physics from Stanford University in 1990 and B.S. in Physics from Peking University in 1985.
Mike was most recently CEO of Array Networks Inc (TWO:3664), a global leader in Application Delivery Networking. Mike has more than 20 years of experience in executive roles at Internet infrastructure and systems integration companies. Prior to Array, Mike was co-founder and COO of AsiaInfo (Nasdaq: ASIA), an Internet infrastructure and telecom customer care and billing solution company. He was once President of Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA) and sits on the Industrial Advisory Board of College of Engineering, Peking University. He is considered a major industry leader and holds BS and MS degrees from Peking University, a Ph.D. in Engineering from State University of New York at Buffalo, and an MBA from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.
Since starting his first company while pursuing a Ph.D. in Colorado, PR has founded, managed, and invested in many companies in the U.S. and China. Most recently, he was the Founder/CEO of Optony, a cleantech company started in Silicon Valley and expanded globally. He was a researcher at the National Renewable Energy Lab, and was an early employee at Innovalight (acquired by DuPont). As Chairman of Solar Decathlon China, he challenged teams from 13 countries to build zero energy buildings. He has published more than 30 patents and peer-reviewed papers. PR obtained his Ph.D. from University of Colorado at Boulder and B.S. from Peking University.
Birong Hu joined SV Tech Ventures in 2015. She manages finance at SV Tech. Prior to SV Tech Ventures, Birong worked at Agilent Technologies, and Ventro Corporation. She has also been involved with angel investment projects in the field of biotech, education and mental health promotion. She holds a BS degree from Peking University, a MS in computer science from UCSC, and a PhD in molecular biology from UCLA.
Sandra currently serves as Investment Associate at SV Tech Ventures. Prior to joining SV Tech, Sandra served as a financial analyst in Chinarock Capital Management’s hedge fund team, where she worked closely with the portfolio managers on daily basis, with regard to research process, investment ideas and trading activities, with focuses on investing in China-based Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT) companies on Nasdaq. She later joined the investment team at CRCM ventures, where she led due diligence and provided deal support for early stage investments. Sandra holds a Master of Science in Finance degree from University of Rochester, holder of Merit Scholarship awards.
